Are you a high school student in the Algoma District interested in a fun and unique summer job experience?
ProtoLaunch has a 5 week summer opportunity where you can earn money by making video games in teams. This is also a summer competition where you have the chance of earning prizes such as scholarships and more.
The ProtoLaunch competition runs from June 29-July 30, Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Algoma University and pays its participants $10.25 an hour to make video games using Unity 3D. Spaces are limited. Preference will be given to past ProtoLaunch participants but all applications will be considered.

Not able to participate this summer? ProtoLaunch also offers high school students free hands-on workshops once a month beginning in the fall featuring professionals from the video game industry including those from: Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Rockstar Games, Bedlam Games, Flashbang Studios and more.
ProtoLaunch is funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation and is run in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC), Algoma University, Sault College, YMCA Employment and Community Services, Anishnabek Information Technology Centre (AITC) and the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre – Algoma.
