From Wednesday the 21st of July through Saturday the 24th of July, the Mackinac Horsemen’s Association will be hosting the annual Festival of the Horse on historic Mackinac Island. This event includes parades, lectures, classes, pony rides, hayrides, and all types of fun for the family, the horse lover, or anyone who wants to learn more about horses. Many of the events are free, and funds that are raised are being used to support equestrian activities on the island, including the 4-H Horse Club and a project to build a new community stable.
