Kasey Van Scoy skied the course in 20 minutes 38 seconds while knocking down all five targets, each of the two times at the range. Both Travis Parr and Alex Lake skied well to bring the team in to second place. In the eight years the 2310 has competed in the Cadet Biathlon this is the first time they have entered as a Unit Team at the Cadet Nationals.
Bronze Medal went to Kasey Van Scoy in the Senior Male category. His placement was recognized from his individual ski time will competing in the Unit Relay Race.
This is a personal best for him as he has competed in two other Cadet Nationals as a senior.
it's been a lot of hard work since dry land training started in September of this training year. All three of these Cadets placed in medal positions at the Area and Regional Competitions held here in Sault Ste Marie earlier in this year.
Wednesdays activities for Cadets offer them a break and a chance to take part in cultural tours around the Montreal area. All travel, meals and other expenses are covered by the Canadian Cadet Movement.
Thursday is the Pursuit Race and Friday is the Patrol Race.
