The results of Sault College’s grading policy referendum are in, and the message from students is loud and clear. The majority of students who voted are in favour of change in the way they are evaluated. Results of the poll indicate that 470 students said yes to a student led recommendation to change Sault College’s final grades from letter format to a percentage format compared to 158 who said no.
The Sault College Student Administrative Council’s next step will be to bring the results forward to the student senate for them to decide if they wish to pass on the recommendation to the college administration.
“With almost one third of Sault College students casting their ballot in this referendum, I feel very confident in bringing this recommendation to the student senate.” said SAC President, Stefan Shynkorenko.
Sault College SAC is the largest student association in Sault Ste Marie, representing 2,000 full-time students at Sault College.
