Pat Benatar-Small But Still Mighty

She may be small in size, but last night at Kewadin's Dream Makers Theatre, Pat Benatar proved she still has a big voice.

Benatar showed her audience that she's still got the right stuff for giving her fans an energy filled performance.

Since her single "Heartbreaker" was released in late 1979, Benatar has been performing and writing music for almost three decades.

From 1980 until 1983, Benatar won four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Female Vocal Performance. In adddtion to her music, Benatar along with her guitarist/husband Neil "Spyder" Giraldo has also made guest appearances on several TV shows and has had her music used as theme songs and commercials for television audiences.

Her voice is still powerful and she still exudes that energy that she has always shown in her performances and videos.

Giraldo showed off his superb guitar playing as well as his ability on keyboards for a few of the songs, hammimg it up for the audience and drawing some cheers and whistles for his talents.

Last night's songs included Heartbreaker, Hit me with your Best Shot, Love is a Battlefield, Hell is for Children ( a song about child abuse which she wrote after reading a series of articles in the New York Times about child abuse), All Fired Up, Shadows of the Night, We Belong, Live for Life, Invincible, Promises in the Dark, and Let's Stay together.
