The Soo Greyhounds and their fans have to wait a little longer before they can celebrate their first win at home this season. The Greyhounds handed the Plymouth Whalers their first win of the season in a scrappy game at the Essar Center.
The Whalers got ahead early in the 1st period with a pair of goals on Greyhounds net-minder Cody St. Jacques and added a 3rd goal early in the 2nd period. Jake Carrick opened the scoring for the Hounds in the 2nd period and Jordan Nolan put in his second of the season in the 3rd period with assists by Beukeboom and Muzzin.
