Shadows of the Mind Film Festival is pleased to announce the dates for its 5th season of family movies under the stars.

Every Wednesday throughout the month of August, Summer Shadows will present free movies on a 28 foot inflatable screen at the band shell in Bellevue Park. (a donation box will be available) This year’s dates are Wednesday August 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th with a rain date of the next day, Thursdays. Movie goers are reminded to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, flashlights, and bug spray and that alcohol is not permitted on-site.

Come early! A new addition to this year’s Summer Shadows is a pre-movie concert series sponsored by Basswerxs Recording. Concerts will run for about an hour followed by an approximate 45 minute break to set up the screen before the movie begins at dusk.

Last year an estimated 2,500 people attended the Summer Shadows series. The primary purpose of Summer Shadows is to bring families together through the entertainment value of film and organizers promise that this year’s lineup is an exciting mix of titles for all ages. Come on out and enjoy some fresh air Cinema! The popcorn is on us!

Summer Shadows is sponsored in part by FOCUS Sault Ste. Marie, Shadows of the Mind Film Festival, Canadian Mental Health Association, and the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
