Busted In Blind River

On November 10th 2009 members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Section and the Asset Forfeiture Unit with assistance from the East Algoma Crime Unit and UCCM Police, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Search Warrant on a residence in the Town of Blind River. The search resulted in police seizing the following:

* 9 pounds of marihuana with an estimated street value of $80 900.00
* 20 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $2000.00
* 25 grams of suspected cannabis resin with an estimated street value of $500.00
* 40 – Oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $200.00
* $30 350.00 in Canadian Currency



Charged are:

1. Daniel DUPUIS 45 years of age

1. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking- over 3 kg - CDSA 5(2)

2. Possession of Schedule I Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2)

3. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams - CDSA 4(1)

4. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Resin (Hashish) for the Purpose of Trafficking under 3 kg - CDSA 5(2)

5. Possession of Schedule I Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2).

6. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Resin (Oil) over 1 gram - CDSA 4(1)

7. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - over $5000 (Canadian Currency) CC 354(1) (a)

2. Orville McRAE, 58 years of age

Daniel DUPUIS and Orville McRAE were brought to Sault Ste Marie for a bail hearing.
