Amanda To Play Loplops In April

Check out Amanda's Show On Saturday April 3rd at Loplops on Queen Street in Sault Ste. Marie.

Singer-songwriter Amanda Rheaume is Canada’s answer to Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge. Floating between rock and pop, similar to Alanis Morissette, both Amanda's music and live performance are memorable and captivating.

Amanda Rheaume’s fourth release Kiss Me Back showcases a diverse set of musical skills, flipping between infectious pop-hooks as heard in "Be Your Enemy" and introspective soul as heard in "Care A Little Less". The first three songs are coated in stunning pop production courtesy of Jeff Dawson (State of Shock, Daniel Powter, Kelly Rowland) while the second half is stripped down, intimate and acoustic.

The opposing sides converge to display Rheaume’s diverse set of musical skills, from her flair for infectious pop hooks - as heard on “Be Your Enemy” - to subtle, introspective soul, as heard on “Watching The Signs”.

Her creative fires have been stoked through co-writing sessions with Holly McNarland, Chantal Kreviazuk, and Jeff Pearce (Moist) and her songwriting reaches new heights in tunes like “All That You Need” and “Care a Little Less”.

Here’s what others have to say about Amanda:

"Rheaume's latest release puts her on the same trajectory as Sheryl Crow and Amiee Mann with Shades of Pink” www.GoHearLive.com

"Amanda Rheaume is one of the foremost performers in the Canadian music industry. Her song-writing ability, vocal prowess, and astonishing mastery of the guitar have been an inspiration to aspiring musicians and a delight for her growing legions of fans." - Mark Monahan Executive/Artistic Director of Ottawa Bluesfest

To help fundraise for her first independent North American tour Amanda has created "Loons 4 Tunes", an innovative and playful fundraiser asking fans to donate a loonie to help get Amanda and her guitar player Jeff across the country and back. Her original approach to being an independent artist has shown how dedicated Canadian music-lovers are to cultivating this country's talent.

Previously performing in Afghanistan and Alert for the Canadian troops, Co-Founding National Touring Breast Cancer Benefit "Babes for Breasts", and winning the $40,000.00 LiVE 885’s “The Big Money Shot” battle of the bands competition, Amanda Rheaume is Canada’s most engaging new artists.
