$3.5 Million Of Pot Seized

On July 27th 2010, members of the O.P.P. Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, North Bay, with assistance from the O.P.P. Emergency Response Team and the O.P.P. K-9 Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a Savard Township property.

As a result of this investigation an outdoor cannabis marijuana growing operation was located. 3,530 marijuana plants, with a potential street value of $3,530,000, was seized along with a tractor, van, ATV and trailer. Two men from the Greater Toronto Area were arrested and charged.

CHARGED ARE:

1. Thuy Xuan VU, age 46 yrs, of Mississauga.



* Production of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – (Cannabis Marihuana)



2. No Van DANG, age 48 yrs, of Toronto.
