Who Started The Wawa Fire?

On May 27th, Wawa fire 18, was caused by human carelessness. The MNR and Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining any information regarding this incident.

The fire was located just east of Wawa and north of Highway 101 on the Skokiland Road. Fire personnel from bases in Ontario and British Columbia were dispatched to suppress the fire.

This carelessness cost over 3 million dollars and resulted in the loss of 2300 hectares of Ontario’s beautiful forest.
