Hey Romeo have received nominations for the 2010 Canadian Country Music Awards for Group Of The Year and Web Site Of The Year, with Darren Gusnowsky receiving a nomination for Best Guitar and Rob Shapiro for Best Keyboards!

Stacie Roper, Rob Shapiro, and Darren Gusnowsky, make for a genuine triple threat, when it comes to writing, singing, and playing. And with the release of their second album That’s What I Am, music lovers across the land will be reminded again that Hey Romeo are a force to be reckoned with in the Canadian Country music landscape.

Produced by Nashville songwriting ace Byron Hill, who has written scores of hit songs for everyone from Reba McEntire to George Straight, That’s What I Am is a reflection of Hey Romeo’s commitment to their craft. Whether it’s polishing a glistening chorus, putting a new spin on a universal theme or showcasing Stacie's superior vocals these talented three musketeers of the Country music scene come in to their own. Please check HeyRomeo For more info.

Hey Romeo has come a long way since the band formed in 2002. Their unique sound and remarkable passion allowed them to survive in the extremely competitive Alberta music scene, which enabled the group to stick out from the pack and hit the national scene with their first album Hey Romeo. And in 2008 their years of touring and earning the reputation as a unique, talented and engaging act paid off when they received the Best New Group award from the Canadian Country Music Association.

2010 started with a successful tour of Ontario and Western Canada with Deric Ruttan. This trip included interviews and performances with 34 radio stations whose support drove the first single, Searchin' for You, to #19 in the mediabase charts, creating an incredible buzz for the upcoming album.

With their singing, writing and their strong passion for the music they love, this trio proves the old adage that good things come in threes.
