Mancuso Is Putting Ward 6, ‘Back On The Map’

"Using what I learned in the 2006 election, I feel that I understand what the people of ward 6 want & need from a leader. Using this knowledge & with the assistance of my campaign volunteers, I am optimistic that I will be successful" - Tony Mancuso

Geographically, Ward 6 is the largest district in the city and while it is great to see new industries locating in our end of the city, Ward 6 hasn’t had the same consideration from City Hall when it comes to other types of growth & development. As an example, look at a map of the main hub trail, we are the only Ward which isn’t presently included. As the only Ward with a public beach in addition to miles of wide open country, we are the ideal location for such an initiative.

The City Budget

“Since 2006, tax increases have far exceeded what the average worker has received in wage increases. This has lead to an increased financial burden to the families in our Ward. Although, it is understandable that it takes money to keep our City’s infrastructure working and to plan for the future, I want to make sure that every dollar spent is done in the most fiscally responsible manner. As a councillor for Ward 6, I will hold City Hall accountable to spend the taxpayer’s money responsibly.

Leadership

“The people of Ward 6 want a strong proactive representative who is responsive to their needs. Ward 6 expects a team player who understands the need to keep the door open for growth & opportunity and who isn’t afraid to stand up to City Hall. I know what the people of Ward 6 are looking for, and when given the chance, I will deliver.”

“I am honoured to be running in Ward 6 and humbled by the support already received. I look forward to the challenges which I will face over the next four years as your elected representative.” A complete platform will be released in the near future. For further information, I can be contacted at tony.mancuso@shaw.ca or on Facebook: Elect Tony Mancuso for Councillor Ward 6 or 946-5017.
